Printing a Velociraptor

Printing a Velociraptor

This was an attempt at creating a large scale 3D print using the Ender 3 and finishing it with colors for presentation at our studio. The model was sculpted by Sri Ram Chandra and after exploring various ways of presenting it, we decided that the 3d print medium seemed pretty exciting.

I started by posing the sculpt, then carefully planned it for the large scale print. After a little over 2 months working on-off in my free time, several failures later, I was finally able to color and present this. It was a very satisfying journey and a refreshing break from the constant digital work I am used to.

Feel free to ask any questions you have in mind. There are so many things worth mentioning about the process.

Special thanks to Biswakalyan Sutar for the awesome outdoor photographs.
